Career Prosecutor Meghan Fowler Joins TNDAGC Legal Services Division
MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. (November 16, 2023) – The Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference (TNDAGC) is pleased to announce that beginning December 1st, Meghan Fowler will serve as the Conference’s new West Tennessee Pro Tem Prosecutor.
The TNDAGC Legal Services Division facilitates the processing and in some cases prosecution of all criminal cases for which a local District Attorney General or Judge has identified a conflict of interest that requires their recusal. Fowler will work from Jackson, TN to prosecute pro tem cases throughout Tennessee’s western judicial districts.
Fowler is a career prosecutor who has previously served as an Assistant District Attorney in both Tennessee and Mississippi. Throughout her impressive 14-year tenure, Fowler has tried over 50 jury trials and served as the Senior Felony Assistant for the Major Violator and Domestic Violence Units of the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office. She is a graduate of the University of Florida and the University of Tennessee College of Law.
Fowler’s assignment to West Tennessee is a key step in the Conference’s transition toward providing more localized pro tem support to all three grand divisions. “We are excited to better serve our West Tennessee District Attorneys and communities by having a pro tem prosecutor centrally based in Jackson,” said TNDAGC Executive Director Stephen D. Crump. “I’m confident Meghan will serve her home region admirably, and we are honored to have her on our team.”
